Sorry about not posting last night. I had company and a wonderful dinner made for me. Thank you for the dinner and all the company.
Well, I had an ultrasound yesterday morning. All was normal. And by normal I mean stable. My blood pressure is looking good. All of my labs came back and everything looks normal. This just backs my theory of the hospital causing me stress and causing my blood pressure to elevate.
Yesterday and today, my spirits are more positive. I have decided to meet a 28 week goal. Once that week is completed, I will re-evaluate the situation and set a new goal. But I found that I need to take baby steps to ensure my sanity.
Dolores, my housekeeper, taught me how to crochet yesterday. I have been practicing and it is a bit rough looking but with more practice I will make a crooked something. I also had a support group yesterday with a couple of other ladies on my hall. It was good for me to get first hand support from someone that has been here for 12 weeks. The different perspective was helpful for me to hear. I definitely realize that I am not nearly as bad off as these women. One has blood pressure that is about to shoot through the roof and the other can't stand too long or labor and delivery is her next destination. She has been that way since 21 weeks. She is now 33 weeks and hoping to go home to enjoy bed rest there before her baby boys are born.
Richard has brought me work to do here. I really needed work to do so I feel productive and for the most part...feel needed. It makes me feel like I am able to contribute to the world outside of here.
As for this morning, all vitals were good. I got a bit worried during the heart monitoring this morning. Flossie is always the easy baby to find her heart beat and it took the nurse a long time to find her. It really started to make me nervous. But she just shifted from her usual position to more center of my belly. So just a bit of shifting for the monitor and everything was fine.
I will get another ultrasound tomorrow. I imagine it will be stable but I will let you know.
I'm glad to hear your spirits are up!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are learning to crochet, make some squares then you can call them dishclothes. DeeDee knits hers but crochet will work too. Glad to hear your day was better. Flossie is going to be quite like her Dad...you think?
