Today was a rather peaceful day after meeting with a few doctors this morning. I got to meet a new OBGYN from Maternal Gynerations and also met with a specialist from Maternal Fetal Specialists. All this was happening while I was getting another ultrasound. So this morning was a bit hectic so I was ready for the calm.
I was originally scheduled for ultrasounds on Monday, Wednesday and Friday but Dr. Eller decided he wanted them done this weekend also. I believe it is his way of being precautionary. Fortunately, that seems to be his nature. He is the one that sent me to "jail" as he calls it.
As far as the ultrasound this morning, all is the same. Myrtle still has absent blood flow in her umbilical cord, but at this point it is stable and that is all we can ask for from her. I truly believe both her and Flossie want to bake as long as possible. Although they are both stubborn enough to stay for as long as they need too. It is like they know what is best for them and they are taking it slow.
All the heart monitoring today has been great. Their heartrates are exceptional. But tonight it was Flossie that decided to play hide and seek. She is usually the good girl that stays put during the monitoring. Myrtle behaved better than ever.
Just as an overall post, the worker perhaps a nurse, with the sticky shoes wasn't working today and it made for a quiet day in the halls. I only saw one baby in the nursery this afternoon. But I heard plenty screaming in the halls as I walked toward my deadzone.
