From Pregnancy to Birth then onto the NICU

Not sure if you can see the "fang" marks very clearly. But this is the end result of a brawl that started this morning. I have given the girls empty coffee containers to play with and put their toys in them. They love to put their toys in them and take the toys out again.  Well, they have two large containers and lids and one small container and lid courtesy of my grandmother, Nanny.

They both wanted the small lid to the coffee container. Brittany tried to appease one of them by giving the large lid to one baby. Well, that didn't work out. It is a complete waste to have two of the same things. At all times, only one is desired. Needless to say the above picture is of sweet Brooklyn's arm. Her sister has once again taken a chunk out of her arm. But thankfully this was on the other arm so now she is symmetrical with her fang marks.

Brittany called me just after the brawl had taken place. It sounded like a mad house. She said my new name of the house, "Sibling Hell" was not good enough to describe what she just witnessed. If they are this brutal to each other, what happens when you throw a playmate in the picture, poor kid. She also said that she saw Quinn go in for the attack and just wasn't quick enough. Her attack is too quick for the adult reaction. She is LETHAL!!!!!

I was also informed of a "fit" Quinn through with Brittany yesterday. I believe it was over a toy but I am not sure. Quinn laid down and tensed her body as she screamed at the top of her lungs. She then proceeded to kick and twitch violently to express her complete distaste for Brittany at that time. Is is possible to experience the "Terrible Two's" at an earlier age if there are two babies the same age? For instance, if you add their ages together, you get two. I am really hoping that this theory pans out. If this is just the beginning and the "Terrible Two's" haven't even approached, I may have to request lots of prayers. Richard and I will be needing them, but Brittany may be needing them more!

It is amazing how these sweet little angels can be so evil at times. Only thing is that they are only evil to each other. At least they have learned to pick on someone their own age. I believe we need to really think about getting these girls some new "scenes." They need playmates to take the edge off a bit. They need to see others besides themselves everyday. Or not?
