I hope everyone had a grand New Year. The girls enjoyed their first trip to the cabin on New Year's Day. We have so much to be thankful for and the fact that they are excellent and easy travellers is definitely one. They are just so laid back that they will go with the flow. The fact that you have to carry the entire house with you is more of a hassle than carrying those two beautiful little girls. They are just amazing and I don't mind doing what needs to be done.
They have now started getting pearly whites on top. Their two bottom teeth are coming in wonderful gapped and their two front teeth will also be quite gapped. It will be so adorable. However, I think I would rather have screaming teethers then what I have currently. Brooklyn is itching her top gums and teeth with her bottom teeth. UUUUGGGHHHH! I cannot stand the sound of forks scrapping a plate or teeth scrapping a spoon or fork. My beautiful and precious daughter is running me out of the room. She is grinding her teeth together and I cannot stand to hear it. Richard will be very quiet and put her next to me so I can hear it. Oh my goodness, I get chills running down my body and my own teeth start hurting. I am getting chills simply typing about it. The worst part....Quinn is starting to do it too.
I am trying to keep Orajel on those gums. My theory is simple: if they can't feel their gums then they don't need to grind their teeth for relief. I can handle the excessive amount of drool due to the fact they can't feel their gums. Bring on the DROOL! But I can hardly stay in the same room with them when they are doing it. I couldn't even rock Brooklyn to sleep without humming loudly so I didn't hear her.
Oh yea, they are now biting us and each other. I was rocking Quinn to sleep and felt a slight sting on my collar bone. OUCH! It is like a little puppy knawing on your fingers. They do it more when they are really tired and restless.
They are sitting so much better. Of course, they will lose their balance and topple over but they are pretty much sitting and playing like big girls. Quinn is nearly a master "army crawler." Brooklyn will army crawl then roll then army crawl to get to where she wants to be. Quinn is starting to keep us really busy trying to keep up with her. She is always on a mission. She never plays with one toy for too long. Not to mention that she is always taking toys from her sister. Just my little bully coming out of her. Guess it is just a preview of what is to come with them two fighting over things.
Please say a prayer for Nana Anna and her baby. She is now 13 weeks along and not doing so great. The baby has a fluid mass starting on the back of the its head down to its shoulder blades. She has seen a specialist and will go back in 3 weeks. If the mass gets larger, she is at a high risk of miscarriage. If the mass doesn't get any larger, the baby may have a deformity such as short arms. They may do an amniocentesis to determine if the mass is down syndrome or turner syndrome. So please keep her and baby in your prayers. She means so much to us and we pray that God will give her the patience to wait those 3 weeks for some answers. And to also put all of her faith and trust in him.
