11-27-11

Well, looks like we will be moving back to Winder this week. All of the work is done and now Richard is patching the walls and ceiling that the plumbers had to cut into when replacing all the pipes in the house. Hopefully, our winter will not be filled with busted pipes like all the previous winters.

It is kind of exciting to be getting home. But on the other hand, I will miss what we have here at my parents. It is like the girls have constant attention. And I will miss so many hands to help with them. I think I can speak for everyone when I say we will miss the great home cooked meals. Mom is trying to convince us to stay til Christmas. Not sure which of us will have to adjust more, us moving back or them having a quiet house.

Either way, we have made some memories here and they have bonded well with the girls. Like my Dad has said, "This has been an eye opening experience." Lets just say the girls have been to WalMart more times in the last two months than they have their life til now. We also went shopping with the girls and Mom was holding Brooklyn in Ulta. Brooklyn dropped Mom's mascara and a lady noticed and was walking to pick it up for her since she was carrying Brooklyn. As Mom bent down to pick it up, the woman was standing there and saying she was gonna get it for her. Well, as this was all happening, Miss Brooklyn let out one of her loud flagulents, who are we kidding, LOUD FART as Mom was standing up right. My Mom said, "Oh Brooklyn!" She swears the woman thought it was her and she was just blaming the baby. Either way, it was a great funny memory.

The girls had a great Halloween. They were tigers. I wanted to make sure they were known as girl tigers so I clipped a pink bow to the tigers ear. They loved it. Quinn loved it more walking to doors and grabbing candy out of peoples bowls. She would get some for her and then put some in Brooklyn's bucket. We pulled them in a wagon and they were loving every minute of the whole process. Quinn evenually got to the point of knocking on doors. Of course, they didn't get any but we enjoyed their candy for them. They were extremely mad when we put them in the car that night. It was so sad because their hands were getting cold but they wanted to keep doing it.

We went to the weight check up at the doctor. In one month, the girls barely gained a pound. The doctor was not happy and we did not pass the test. She is sending us to a gastrointestinal doctor to make sure there aren't other issues that is hindering them from gaining weight. I am frustrated with the fact we have to go to the doctor. But I understand her concern and would probably be upset if she didn't show concern. She explained that she doesn't want them to get older and have a harder time gaining weight and when the problem could have been addressed sooner. The girls eat really great when they eat and some days they won't stop eating. So that is also a reason to raise concern.

So we will pray that they are just small little girls and we don't have underlying issues with their nutritional development. We are going to start a food journal for them. I want to be proactive with this specialist. I do not want to go and pay $120 copay for them to tell me to chart what they eat. I will have Brittany chart their food intake and have it ready for them when they say that is the next step.

The girls are really blossoming their personalities. They really do have amazing spirits. They are all about loving on each other and other people. They freely give their kisses and hugs away.

They are talking more and more everyday. Quinn has Momma and Dada down to an art. She is even trying her hand at Papi and definitely knows her ReeRee! I think she is saying Brooklyn but is comes out more like RooRoo or BooRoo. We will talk what we can get from those precious babies. Brooklyn still keeps most of her words to herself but she will speak up occassionally. Not many opportunities to get words in with Quinn around.

We went into Courtney's Boutique in Athens. My Dad found her shop and she has 17 year old identical twin boys. We talked with her a while when we ordered hair bows with "B" and "Q" on them. She will make whatever we want with "Q" on it since it isn't a readily carried letter. Yes, I know I have cursed her. But we had fun talking with her. She asked me how many times do we get "Are they twins?" She shared her stories that she would tell people. It is nice to know that others thought of crazy stories to tell people when  you get asked that question.

Speaking of cursing Quinn, I have now started to get anything I see pertaining to the letter "Q". We were in Hobby Lobby and I got hanging letters...just because they had a "Q." I will find something to do with them.

Time to put babies to bed.
