The girls are starting to "walk" more and more. They don't hesitate moving from toy to couch or vice versa. We we practice with them, they get so darn excited. They just smile from ear to ear because we get excited to watch them walk and they pick up on our excitement and know they are doing something BIG! Brooklyn is concentrating and chewing on her tongue when she walks to us. Quinn has the biggest grin on her face. Quinn takes her time stepping. Brooklyn will run to you.

Brooklyn ran from her toy to the couch last night. She got so much momentum she bounced off the edge of the couch and bounced so hard she flew backwards and got twirled around and landed on her back on the floor. Although funny, it scared her a bit. They love walking back and forth to Richard and I in the evenings. It is a race for them and they jump in our arms. We may love it more than they do. But you can see those wheels in their head turning when they go to let go of something to make it to another object. They are thinking about walking but may just decide to crawl.

On occasion, we will leave their pj shirts on and leave their pj pants off. So they are just in shirt and diaper. Yesterday, Brittany let them do this again. It is so unlike her to let them do this because she has them dressed to a tee after breakfast. But she said they were having a lazy day.

She was in the kitchen preparing some food and peeked in the living room to check on the girls. She said she only saw Brooklyn so went into the living room to find Quinn. She found her sitting like a big girl on the couch. Which would have been extremely cute except her panties were at the other end of the couch. Quinn had taken her diaper off and put it on the couch and crawled to the other end of the couch and was sitting there...in her own pile of pee pee. Quinn has pee peed on the couch. Brittany said she was beside herself. She wasn't sure she was gonna tell me but I am glad she did. It is those things that I can tell them when they get older. Those stories make for the special moments. Granted, it was Brittany that had to clean it but I think those things are hilarious. They have NEVER before taken their diaper off. It has never been an issue. She assured me that the couch is completely disinfected. Too funny! If Brooklyn isn't pooing in the wrong places, Quinn is peeing in the wrong ones!

I wouldn't trade any of these moments for anything in the world. Too precious!

Aunt LayLay did more pictures of the girls. I have added them to the blog here and I think she is amazing. She captures so much of their personalities. She is truly an amazing photographer and we are lucky to have her. Plus she knows I am always up for the "test" shots.

Still not saying much on a regular basis. But they are really starting to mimic what we say. I am anxious to hear their "voice" and talk with them. Apparently, Brooklyn doesn't stop babbling all day long. She will probably be a serious non stop talker. Which totally doesn't fit her demeanor of stone faced and staring. We will see what the future holds with their talking personalities.

Brittany brought girls to eat with us today at work. We went to Cracker Barrel and had the best time. Both of them were laughing and smiling at our waitress. She looked at Brooklyn and said, "You must be the serious one." I told her she was exactly right. Brooklyn softened up and just smiled at her. But Quinn took it to a whole new level. She has developed a "fake" laugh. It is clearly different than her actual laugh. It is like two different babies are laughing. Needless to say, she had us laughing because she was doing her fake laugh to the waitress all lunch. Richard seems to think Quinn was doing it to make the waitress laugh and us laugh rather than laughing at the waitress. Either way, they were in great moods and enjoying life!
