This is my long awaited blog. Work has been crazy hectic. There are nights we don't get home before the girls go to bed. But we are little elves making Christmas happy for someone. Basically, that is a way of my telling you that I have been busy.
So many updates. So little time. Where to start? The girls are really starting to eat more and that pleases me so much. As of 12-12-10, Quinn weighed 12lbs 14oz and Brooklyn weighed 11lbs 10 1/2 oz. We are still getting the RSV shots once a month. The girls are doing great with those lovely shots.
Personalities are really soaring around this house. I felt that Brooklyn was the fiesty one from day one. But then she seemed to mellow while Quinn took the lead in that category. Well, I think my first instincts were the correct ones. Brooklyn is a mess. She is so funny. Calling her a character is simply not accurate. She is more than a character. She is a fierce storm balled up in a little body of sweetness. You see this happy, lovely, smiling baby on the outside but the inside is a storm brewing. Her personality is hilarious. I have video of Richard imitating her growl and she just growls back at him, harder and longer growls. She is a force to be reckoned with and she amazes me each day. She doesn't stop talking and loves her sister.
Quinn is starting to mellow. I really thought she would be my talker but now B prevails in that aspect. Quinn has a "whatever" attitude most of the time. She is full of smiles. She smiles at you and then tucks her head like she is being a shy little baby. She is such a little flirt. She is an amazing little person. She is all smiles and has a beautiful smile to flaunt. I think she will be the one that you can count on for anything. Quinn is becoming more and more interested in the things around her. Changing her diaper is a full force adventure. She is all over the place wanting to get her hands and tongue on all in her sight. If it isn't in her reach, she works it out. I just loved their determined look.
They both have a habit of chewing on their tongue. They get that habit honestly. Richard is constantly chewing on his tongue. They go to town and I have no idea how they don't chew it off or cause tongue sores. They are so stinking cute.
Speaking of chewing tongues off, Q and B have two bottom teeth. They are so adorable and we quickly forget they are there until we have a couple buried in our skin. OUCH! We scare them by jerking away but those little things are sharp. It is like a little puppy dog knawing on your fingers. Not pleasant at all.
For the most part, Q and B are such laid back chicks. They just go with the flow and play with each other. Last week, Richard and I stood in the kitchen and watched the girls play in their Exersaucers. They just busted out laughing at each other and didn't stop for a few minutes. They would laugh and then stop, look at each other again and laugh again. It was so great to see that interaction. LOVE IT! Their language is a splendid thing to witness. I can't wait to watch it progress.
Don't think we will be seeing Santa this year. I am so nervous about all the germs and sickness Old Saint Nick has and doesn't know it. So we will pass on the sitting in Santa's lap. I am sure the girls will forgive me later in life...I hope!
I think my babies are out growing their swings. We rarely use them and I am wondering if we need to retire them. Oh, they are getting so grown and they are only 8 months old. The swings are now being replaced with the exersaucers.
Oh yea, my new favorite video. Check out on http://www.youtube.com/ the title to the video is Moms of Multiples are Freaks of Nature. It is a cartoon video made by a mother of multiples. This is a perfect example of my trips in public. Check it out and let me know what you think.
