We are going to the pediatrician and eye doctor next week. I am nervous and excited at the same time. I am really hoping that Dr. Steele will give my wallet a break and say we can come off formula. I didn't really want to do it without them suggesting it because of their need for more nutrients to do the whole prematurity deal. But that will be an extra $100 in my pocket a week...yes I said a week. So moving to milk will be plenty fine with me. I can handle a few gallons of milk a week in addition to big girl food. They are loving the big girl food. Brittany is trying to finish out the baby food we have left and she said they are not having it. Their taste buds have sprouted and they don't want to go back to the lame food. Now if we could just keep Brooklyn from feeding her nose, we will be good to go!
Last night, a nurse/Respiratory Therapist from the NICU brought her daughter to ride horses at Mom and Dad's house. We put the girls in the saddle and I only got a picture of Quinn on the horse. However, I am hoping Meredith will send me some pictures from her camera. She got Brooklyn on a horse and got some really cute pictures of Quinn giving the horse some kisses. It was adorable.
She looks so small sitting on that huge horse/mule. I would tell ya the name of the mule but I get them so mixed up. I am gonna go with Ruby and I am 90% sure. We also rode in the wagon. The girls insisted on sitting in the front with Big Papi to help him drive the wagon. All in all...we had a great time and were really glad Meredith, Dusty and Alexis could come out the ride with us.
I am a little excited because I had an idea at lunch today. The girls love playing under blankets. By playing, I mean just seating there covered up and being still. When me and the girls get under the blanket together, they think it is the funniest thing ever. They get so tickled. So tonight...wish me luck...I am building a miniature fort in the living room. I really hope they like it. I believe they will because it is something different and neat.
Oh and Brittany sent me pictures of lunchtime. She is now feeding them...naked. Well, they are naked...hopefully Brittany still has her clothes on while feeding them. Ha! She will not be happy with me now. But the clean up process seems to be easier and less stains on those fashionistas clothes. I am hoping to get these special spoons that turn toward them. Sounds like they will be easier to learn to use when they are trying to feed themselves. I am just not excited about the mess to clean up once they have that spoon in their hands.
